Midnight Fire: The base wood of this cue is Gabon Ebony. Four long and four short Osage Orange points are inlaid with Tulipwood, a total of 16 points in the forebutt and 8 in the butt. The yellow, pink and orange colors remind us of flames dancing against the black sky. 14k gold sparks float in the night sky, and gold and ebony are inlaid at the base of each flame. The cue is completed with a black leather wrap.
Star Chamber: Macassar Ebony was used as the base wood for this cue. Chains of 24 alternating Sterling Silver stars and Ivory ovals are inlaid in the joint, forearm, butt, shafts and joint protectors. The forearm contains 20 points. Four long each of Chakte-kok, Macassar Ebony and Ivory and four short each of Chakte-kok and Ivory alternating with Ivory ovals. Sterling Silver stars also float in the butt. A total of 168 individual inlays adorn this cue. A brown leather wrap completes the Star Chamber.
Golden Feathers: This cue, quite similar to our earlier Arrowsmith, was inspired by a story they told us when we first purchased Pink Ivory wood many years ago. They told us Pink Ivory is sacred to a particular tribe in Africa, where the wood is found. The only one allowed to cut a Pink Ivory tree is the Chief's son. As part of his manhood ritual, he cuts down a tree and uses it to make a spear for his first lion kill. Fact or fiction, they inspired us to use the wood to fashion our own spear design. Gabon Ebony is the base wood for this cue. The forearm has eight Pink Ivory points, four Gabon Ebony points and four Ivory points. The cue has 12 spears using 14k Gold, Pink Ivory and Silver. Each spear has 13 inlays to form the tip, shaft, and feathers, a total of 156 individual inlays! Delicate decorative rings of Gabon Ebony, Pink Ivory and Ivory throughout the cue. A black leather wrap completes Golden Feathers.
Dream Catcher: This cue was envisioned while working on the "Kaleidoscope" and inspired by our recent decision to move back to our homeland in Southwestern Colorado, a dream of ours for several years. That region is the heart of the Navajo Indians. This is our interpretaion of the Navajo Dream Catcher, which is a web-like design that "traps" your dreams and holds them for you. Gabon Ebony is used as the base wood. 32 points were inlaid to achieve the visual effect of the long fine pointed diamond shapes of Pink Ivory and Ivory in the forearm. The cue has 394 individual inlays of Sterling Silver, Ivory, Pink Ivory and Ebony. A black leather wrap completes the cue.
